Criminal Investigations
The Isle of Palms Police Department is committed to the investigation of all criminal activity. The Criminal Investigations Division is responsible for the advanced investigation of crimes against persons, property crimes and white-collar crimes. The division also conducts narcotic/vice investigations, serves warrants, provides crime scene processing, maintains evidence, criminal intelligence and provides direct victim services through the units' Victim Advocate.
The Criminal Investigations Division consists of two investigators; one Sergeant and one Victim Advocate. Both investigators are available for call-out, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The investigators work closely with and coordinate efforts with local and state law enforcement agencies (SLED, S. C. Department of Probation and Parole, DHEC and DNR), as well as federal law enforcement agencies (FBI, DEA and ATF) and private sector foundations such as Missing and Exploited Children.
The Criminal Investigations Division is dedicated to the successful investigation, resolution and prosecution of crimes against persons and property.
