Cardio Room

The Cardio Room is equipped with Treadmills, recumbant cycles and ellipticals.

Monday:       7:00 am - 6:00 pm 
Tuesday:      7:00 am - 7:00 pm
Wednesday: 7:00 am - 8:00 am
                   9:00 am - 7:00 pm
Thursday:     7:00 am - 7:00 pm
Friday:         7:00 am - 6:00 pm
Saturday:     9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sunday:       1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

RULES and REGULATIONS

• The primary function of these facilities is to serve the recreational, educational, wellness and athletic needs of the residents on the Isle of Palms 
   
• The City of Isle of Palms cannot assume liability for property loss and/or injuries resulting from use of this equipment 
   
• Access to the Cardio room will be provided by Recreation Staff 
   
• Individuals must be at least 16 years old to use equipment. Children, ages 12 through 15, may use the facility with parental supervision present. 
   
• Children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the Cardio Room. 
   
• Individuals ARE REQUIRED to sign in and out on log sheet provided 
   
• Individuals shall utilize Cardiovascular Room at their own risk 
   
• Possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages, including public intoxication is prohibited in the Recreation Center and Grounds 
   
• Animals and/or pets are prohibited in recreation building unless participating in pet related classes or utilized as a guide for disabled patron 
   
• Cardio Room may be utilized only during designated operating hours. Only City employees may remain in the facilities when it is officially closed 
   
• Patrons must clean equipment after every use 
   
• Appropriate athletic wear (mesh shorts, T-shirts, tank tops, warm-ups, sweats, etc.) is required for training. Jeans, cut-off jeans and altered t-shirts are not permitted. 
   
• Appropriate footwear is required. Sandals or open toed shoes are prohibited 
   
• Recreation Staff are not responsible for any personal items left behind 
   
• No open beverage containers, food, gum or tobacco products allowed. Only sports bottles containing water or sports drinks are allowed. 
   
• Please limit use of cardiovascular machines to 30 minutes when others are waiting 
   
• Anyone operating equipment in unsafe manner will be asked to leave 
   
• Unbecoming behavior will not be tolerated 
   
• Patrons must abide by all policies set forth by the recreation staff. Such policies may include, but are not limited to, regulations regarding proper usage of equipment, proper sanitary considerations or risk management issues.
