Election of Mayor Pro Tempore

• Councilwoman Smith was elected as Mayor Pro Tempore

Consent Agenda

City Council passed the consent agenda including previous meetings minutes and the following items:

• Purchase of two (2) Dodge Durango AWD V6 Pursuit SUVs for the Police Department in the amount of $30,540 each
• A proposal from Insight Group to provide construction oversight services during the IOP Marina restaurant renovation in the amount of $14,740

Standing Committees

Council reviewed the minutes from each of the relevant committee meetings but no items from the committees were voted on other than via the Consent Agenda.

Ordinances

Second Reading

• City Council heard second reading of Ordinance 2020-16 which allows for commercial surf instruction on the beach but elected to defer this item to a subsequent meeting pending work by the Recreation Committee on the structure of the ordinance.
