COVID-19 Grocery Delivery Support for IOP Residents

The Isle of Palms Exchange Club has partnered with the City of Isle of Palms to provide a free grocery pick-up and delivery service for on-line orders placed at Harris Teeter or Target.  Through the generosity of an anonymous citizen’s donation, the Exchange Club recently received funding to support a new program to assist at risk residents of the Isle of Palms. The program’s mission is to aid with the delivery of food during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown with the goal being to reduce the risk to our residents as well as reduce the number of people in grocery stores.

Once the application is submitted a volunteer from the Exchange Club will reach out to the IOP resident to confirm delivery pick-up timeframe or to assist with set up of on-line order.  The grocery order will be collected and delived in a contactless manner directly to the homes of our participating neighbors.  All delivery volunteers will pick up grocery packages while utilizing full protection gear.  Participants in the grocery delivery service program will receive a phone call to notify them once their groceries have been delivered.

The Isle of Palm Exchange Club’s core of volunteers for the grocery delivery service program is being organized and managed by Kitty Riley.  She is the Chairperson for the Community Service Committee. If you know of an individual in need, please, inform them of this charitable project and how they can apply. To participate please complete and submit the form provided below. We highly encourage our at risk residents to take advantage of this service to minimize the number of people in our grocery stores, reduce your exposure to the virus, and to HELP FLATTEN THE CURVE!
