IOP City Council Highlights - April

April 24, 2019
  • City Council approved the award of a contract to Munnerlyn Pyrotechnics in the amount of $25,000 for the July 4th fireworks display.
  • City Council approved entering into an agreement with Lee and Associates to assist and advise the City through the Request for Proposals process for the Isle of Palms Marina restaurant lease. The existing lease expires in October 2020.
  • City Council approved an amount not to exceed $8,500 to install a water bottle filling station at Front Beach.
  • City Council agreed to notify Tidal Wave Watersports that the City has no intention to renew their existing lease when it expires in September 2020.

Ordinances

City Council approved Second Reading and ratified the following ordinances and resolutions:

  • Ordinance 2019-05 – An Ordinance Amending Title 7, Chapter 1, Business Licenses, of the City of Isle of Palms Code of Ordinances, Regarding the Increase of Short-Term Rental License Fees
  • Ordinance 2019-06 – An Ordinance Amending Title 3, Public Works, Article A, Stormwater Management Utility C.
  • Ordinance 2019-07 – An Ordinance Amending Title 5, Planning and Development, Chapter 4, Zoning, Article 2, District Regulations
  • R.2019-01 – A Resolution to increase Franchise Fees with Comcast from 3% to 5%
  • R.2019-02 – A Resolution to increase Building Permit Fees
