Looking for more things to do on the island? Get inspired!

Fall is a special time on Isle of Palms. There are less crowds, the breeze turns crisp, and the island slows down just enough to let you truly enjoy it. Whether you're here for a weekend or call the island home, there's no shortage of ways to soak up the season.

Enjoy a visit to Carmen R. Bunch Park, where open green space, shady trees make it the perfect spot to take a break or read a book. It's also steps away from the grocery store and more dining options.

For family-friendly fun, head over to the Isle of Palms Recreation Center, where you'll find an activity for everyone. With an open field, playground, dog park, sports courts, and seasonal programming, it’s a hub for community connection and fitness.

At the Public Dock you can launch a kayak or paddleboard, cast a line, or simply take in the views of the water. It’s also one of the best places on the island to watch the sunset—especially on those golden autumn evenings when the sky lights up in warm tones. You might also spot some dolphins! The Isle of Palms Marina also offers eco tours and tasty bites.

As the day goes on, take time to explore local shops and restaurants, many of which offer outdoor seating to enjoy the fresh fall air. You might stumble upon a community event, as listed above.

Looking to get moving? Rent a bike or golf cart and cruise along the island’s less-crowded paths, or head to the beach for a walk along the shore. Sometimes all you need is the sound of the waves, a cozy hoodie, and a warm drink in hand.

From water adventures at the Marina to festive fall events and everything in between, Isle of Palms is the perfect place to enjoy autumn at your own pace. We hope you'll make the most of the season by the sea.
