IOP Public Dock

The Isle of Palms Public Dock is located at the Isle of Palms Marina at 50 41st Avenue. The public dock is open every day from sunrise to sunset.

You CAN:

  • Launch a kayak, canoe or paddle board
  • Fish
  • Read a book
  • Watch the sunset
  • Spot dolphins
  • Enjoy time with your family and friends!

For your safety and to ensure everyone enjoys this space, please DON’T:

  • Swim
  • Litter
  • Have your pet unleashed and leave your pet waste
  • Smoke
  • Consume alcoholic beverages

Mooring of motorized vessels or watercraft is prohibited.

Join this community group and work on guiding each other through a meditation experience to relax, breathe, engage the imagination and be silent for a time, take a break from the busy world around us.

IOP Explorer Series for Residents 

In partnership with Coastal Expeditions, we have developed a series of six itineraries exclusively for Isle of Palms residents.  Learn more about the place you call home and how to enjoyably explore it on your own!   The outings will depart from the new IOP Public Dock at the Marina. 

Reservations are on a first-come, first-served. Each outing is limited to 15 participants. 

The outings will be free for Isle of Palms residents. Residents will be expected to show proof of residency or proof of ownership upon arrival.

*Residents that sign up and do not show up for the outing will be charged the cost of the outing ($65). Participants may cancel without penalty at least 48 hours prior to the date of the outing.*

Parking

Parking is available at the marina site. The City offers 16 resident only parking spaces located next to the public dock. Golf cart parking is also available on 41st Avenue just before the entrance to the marina. Residents with properly credentialed vehicles can park in the designated resident only parking spaces free of charge. A properly credentialed vehicle is one that has a City issued Resident Parking Permit or a Wild Dunes Resident decal.
