Yoga

LITTLE LOTUS YOGA (3-5yrs)

Children can grow into their own practice of yoga; learning to strengthen their concentration skills and calm their minds, which leads to greater awareness and control of the body's movements. Interactive story-telling, games, music, and age-appropriate journaling are woven throughout a lively asana series to create a child-inspired yoga experience that is enriching and FUN!

Basic ballet techniques and movements will be taught. Ballet shoes, leotard and tights required.

IOP Kids Information & Curriculum - 3 & 4 year old Program
The IOP Kids program is designed to help develop fine motor skills, promote social interaction and cooperation with peers, listen to and follow directions and adapt to a simple routine. Throughout the school year, class will emphasize on interactive play through songs, games, nature and arts & crafts. Participants will be introduced to the alphabet, numbers and shapes.

Tae Kwon Do

Develop balance, accuracy, speed, power, focus and self-confidence. Training includes stretching, mild running, forms, 3-step sparring, freestyle and non-contact sparring.

Solving-Analyzing-Mysteries. Hands on science class for preschoolers that will encourage and develop critical thinking skills as they learn about the scientific process. Ages 3-5 years

Kensington Enrichment

Farm to Table

A fun, hands-on program that addresses the relationship between students, communities and the environment in which they live. A selection of topics includes: The farmers table, local foods & where they come from, health & nutrition, gardening, personal responsibility and so much more! Topics are taught through art. All materials included, daily refreshments and the making of the Farm to Table fresh salad during class finale. At Kensington, we teach children to respect each other and to take care of their surroundings. We believe in leaving the world a better place than how we found it. Ages 6 & up

Handling Social Media w/ Confidence and Grace

Girls Ages 11yrs & older
This program is taught in a fun and dynamic way through the use of engaging activities and the "Kensington Round Table" discussion group. Program topics include: The staying power of social media, stranger danger, confidence & self-esteem building, cyber-bullying, parents they have your back and so much more. Social media is not encouraged in this class and there is no screen time.

Capital Kid$

At Capital Kid$ children develop life skills in the areas of financial literacy and entrepreneurship. A fun, nurturing hands-on program for the very young includes simple but important life skills. Activities include coloring worksheets, number rhymes, storytelling and counting songs. Role playing at the Capital Kid$ Store projects include "The Envelope Please" which will introduce the concept of dividing money, $ave, $pend & give.
