Tae Kwon Do

Develop balance, accuracy, speed, power, focus, self-confidence and flexibility. Training includes stretching, mild running, forms, 3 step sparring, freestyle non-contact sparring and self defense techniques.

Saturday Yoga 

Slow Flow Yoga:  75 minutes to align and strengthen yourself for the day. Level 1-2, Hatha based, Vinyasa class will focus on balance, strength and flexibility through a creative sequencing of postures intended to expand awareness through body alignment, muscle activation and breath. This class is not only rewarding for your body but also offers an opportunity to nourish your mind as we slowly move through challenging postures to reinforce the union of nurturing our inner selves through our daily lives. You will leave feeling energized and ready for the day.

Tabata Tuesday  * New Class 

Tabata training delivers a full body workout in an energetic class environment. Tabata training: 20 second intervals of high intensity exercise, followed by 10 seconds of rest, and repeated eight times for a total of four minutes. You can do anything for 20 seconds and we might break the rules a little bit.

Beach Body Boot Camp  * New Class

Traveling workout class ! Start at the Rec and work you r way to the beach utilizing body weight exercises and mother nature to make your workout tough and fun. Bad weather days not a problem, we will take the workout inside.

Join the Isle of Palms Recreation Center and Stacy Jessen for group meditation. Bring yoga mat, beach towel, beach or camping chair.

Outdoor Meditation:  Group will meet on the multi purpose field under the trees.

Writing Your Memoirs 

Everyone has a story, first car, first job, first love and some things that were significant without being the first. Write down your memories so your children/ grandchildren know more about your life. Each class includes instruction. examples and writing exercises. Discover how to uncover memories, organize ideas and make your story interesting.
