Garbage Collection

Garbage carts and recycling containers may only be placed curbside after 5:00 p.m. the night before pick up and must be removed from sight by 9:00 a.m. the day after pick up.

Monday: Breach Inlet through 30th Avenue
Tuesday: 30th Avenue through Wild Dunes
Wednesday: Yard Debris and Miscellaneous
Thursday: Yard Debris and Miscellaneous
Friday: Yard Debris and Miscellaneous

Twice Per Week Collection Schedule:
June 2, 2025 – August 30, 2025

Monday: Breach Inlet through 30th Avenue
Tuesday: 30th Avenue through Wild Dunes
Wednesday: Yard Debris and Miscellaneous
Thursday: Breach Inlet through 30th Avenue
Friday: 30th Avenue through Wild Dunes

Garbage is Not Collected on the following City Holidays

If any of the following holidays fall on a regularly scheduled collection day, the collection will be delayed by one day. Garbage collection will not occur on weekends.

  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Presidents' Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Veteran's Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Friday after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day

 2025 Holiday Schedule

  • Friday, July 4, 2025 (Independence Day): Service will occur on Tuesday, July 8, 2025
  • Monday, July 7: Service will occur as scheduled: Breach Inlet through 30th Ave

 

Collected Materials

Acceptable Yard Debris

All yard debris must be in paper bags or containers. Plastic bags cannot be accepted.

  • Routine Landscaping Material
  • Leaves
  • Grass Clippings
  • Logs, Limbs, Brush not more than 4 feet in length and 4 inches in diameter.
  • Please place yard debris in a biodegradable bag for composting. Please do not mix garbage with yard debris. Please do not obstruct water meters, stormwater collection boxes, sewer manhole covers or fire hydrants.

  • Bed Mattresses

Unacceptable Items

  • Building Materials Generated by a Contractor
  • Roofing Shingles
  • Hazardous Waste
  • Tires
  • Batteries
  • Motor Oil
  • Petroleum Products
  • Auto Parts
  • Landscaping Debris Generated from Clearing a Lot
  • Slag or Gravel
  • Concrete/Cement
