Update: 12:30 p.m.
Due to a power pole fire, Palm Blvd at 50th Ave is closed. The fire has been extinguished, but the pole is unstable. If you are driving to or coming from a location past 50th Ave, you will need to enter Wild Dunes Resort and then loop around to the back gate. If you are trying to leave the area you will need to enter Wild Dunes Gate 2 at Palm / 57th and exit the main gate near 46th Ave.
Officers are on scene assisting. Dominion Energy crews are responding.
Update: 2:40 p.m.
Power is currently out in the area of Wild Dunes. Dominion Energy crews are on site replacing the pole and working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible.
