Municipal Inauguration 2022

On Tuesday, January 4, 2022, the City of Isle of Palms hosted a official inauguration ceremony to formally swear in the new Mayor, Phillip Pounds, and Councilmembers Jan Anderson, John Bogosian, Blair Hahn and Katie Miars.

The ceremony included a participation from Laura Parrish, the Isle of Palms First Methodist Church Pastor, who delivered the invocation and benediction. 

The Isle of Palm Police Department made the presentation of colors and lead the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance. 

Mayor Pounds delivered his first remarks after taking office as the Thirteenth Mayor of the City of Isle of Palms. 

As their first order of business, City Council took action to approve the nominations for the membership of Standing Committees, Boards and Commissions and City Officers. The following appointments
