Post Hurricane Ian Assessment & Updates

As the City moves from response to recovery after the storm, City departments continue to assess buildings and facilities for storm damage. No major damage to City buildings or facilities has been reported so far. 

City administrative offices will reopen on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 8:00 a.m.

Public Works crews are working Saturday, October 1, 2022 to collect storm and yard debris and miscellaneous. Residential garbage collection schedule will resume normal operations on Monday, October 3, 2022. 

Fire Department and Police Department have resumed normal operations.  

The Isle of Palms Recreation Center will open and resume normal operations on Monday, October 3, 2022. 

The IOP Public Dock at the Marina and the Public Restrooms at Front Beach reopened on Saturday, October 1, 2022. 

Storm related damage repairs may require a permit. Please contact the Building Department at 843-886-9912 to ensure any work performed is up to code. 

Dominion Energy crews are on the island working to replace a power pole at 34th and Cameron Boulevard that caught fire Friday evening and restore power island wide. Residents are asked to report any outages still remaining at 1-888-333-4465. View the Outage Map.
