2025 General Election 

The City of Isle of Palms General Election will be held on November 4, 2025.

This election is being held under new rules for providing Photo ID at the polling place. The polls will open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the following polling places:

  • Isle of Palms 1A
    Isle of Palms City Hall
    1207 Palm Boulevard
  • Isle of Palms 1B & 1C                                         
    Isle of Palms Recreation Center           
    24 28th Avenue

Candidate Filing Information

Filing Dates

The filing period for all persons desiring to run as a candidate in the City of Isle of Palms' General Election to be held on November 4, 2025, will open at noon, Friday, August 29, 2025, and will close at noon, Tuesday, September 8, 2025

 

Filing by an Agent - It is not necessary for a candidate to be physically present at the time of filing. An agent can deliver the SICPP (which has been properly completed, signed and notarized) and the filing fee check on behalf of the candidate.

Statement of Candidacy

Any person, including incumbents, desiring to file as a candidate for the office of Council must file a Statement of Candidacy and pay the appropriate filing fee. The filing fee for the office of council member is $100. 

Filing will be conducted at City Hall, 1207 Palm Boulevard, Isle of Palms, during normal office hours 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  

Instructions to candidates filing for Office of Council Member

Please complete and provide the following:

  • Statement of Candidacy
  • Check in the amount of $100 for filing fee made payable to The City of Isle of Palms
  • Copy of Voter Registration Card, Driver's License or Valid State of S.C. Identification reflecting current address

Pursuant to the South Carolina State Ethics Commission and Pursuant to State Law, please note:

The Statement of Economic Interests and the Campaign Disclosure forms MUST be filed electronically with the State Ethics Commission. 

The filing of a Statement of Economic Interests form is not a requirement to run for office but must be filed prior to taking the oath of office.

Early Voting Information

  • Monday, 15 days prior to election day, through Saturday, three days prior to election day.
  • 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Closed Sundays and state holidays.
