Golf Cart Parade
Parade Route & Information:
- Parade line-up begins at 9:30 am. Parade begins at 10 am sharp
- Parade starts at 4th and Ocean Blvd & ends at 2nd and Charleston Blvd
- Public Safety Officials will direct all parade traffic; please follow their guidance
Rules:
- Consumption of alcohol is not permitted
- Golf carts and LSVs ONLY
- Golf cart/LSV operator must have valid driver’s license
- All drivers must have proof of registration, permit, and insurance
- Participants may not exceed the recommended capacity of the cart
- Candy is allowed but should be handed out and not thrown
- Water balloons are NOT permitted. Hoses and water guns are permitted, but please use good judgement
- All passengers under 12 must use a safety restraint device

Fireworks Show
The City of Isle of Palms will host its annual Independence Day Fireworks Show on Front Beach. The event is free and open to the public.
The area of the beach between 21st Avenue to Coconut Joe's will close at 6:30 p.m. Beachgoers are required to leave the beach and remove their belongings by that time to allow preparation for the event. Guests may remain inside the Isle of Palms County Park area or behind the public restroom facilities to watch the show.
Fireworks are not permitted in the City of Isle of Palms and must be operated by professionals only.

Parking

Front Beach On-Street Parking
Daily payments can be made by mobile phone or at a parking kiosk on Ocean Boulevard near Front Beach between 10th and 14th Avenues. Park in any marked space. Please be aware of loading zone restricted areas, note signage. Choose and purchase the appropriate amount of time, and then place the receipt on the dashboard of the vehicle so that it is readable through the windshield.

Public Road Right-of-Ways
The City regulated parking along the public right-of-ways between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Visitors can park their vehicles on any road right-of-way within the Beach Parking District unless it has been designated with a sign as “no parking”. Be mindful that all four wheels must be off the road and that no beach access paths can be blocked. Vehicles parked on the ocean side of Palm Boulevard between 21st and 40th must be at least 4 feet off the pavement and must park at an angle in the marked spaces on the land side. Please do not block driveways or mailboxes, and be respectful of landscaping.
Golf Carts
In accordance with state law, golf cart owners who have a valid driver's license, a permit decal and registration from the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles, and proof of insurance may operate the golf cart on a secondary highway or street within four miles of his or her residence or place of business during daylight hours only.
Golf cart drivers must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver's license. A new law requires that all passengers under 12 years old wear a seatbelt while riding on golf carts on public roadways. Read more about golf cart and LSV safety.
Golf carts are prohibited on SC-703 (Palm Blvd) and both golf carts and LSVs are prohibited on SC-517 (IOP Connector).
Designated Golf Cart parking is available on 9th Ocean Boulevard, 28th and 31st Avenues on Palm Boulevard.
Beach Safety
- Alcohol and the Ocean NEVER mix! Alcohol is not permitted on the beach.
- Dogs must be on a leash and owners must clean up after their pets.
- Please use the garbage and recycling containers to keep the beach clean.
- Please protect our dunes, use the paths.
- Holes dug in the sand should be filled back in for safety.
