12/15/2025 - On Thursday, the Isle of Palms Public Works Department completed a beach sweep from Breach Inlet to 58th Avenue, removing debris left behind by recent extreme tides. The high water damaged and displaced boardwalks, dune walkovers, steps, and other construction materials.
Public Works typically allows a short window for homeowners and contractors to recover materials and make repairs when possible. However, any debris reported as a safety hazard is removed immediately to protect residents and visitors.
