The City of Isle of Palms Residential Rental Applications were mailed the week of July 2, 2018.  The property owners, who lease their residences, have until Monday, August 31, 2018 to submit payment to the Business License Office without penalty.  All payment fees submitted after Monday, August 31, 2018 will be assessed a 5% penalty each month the fee is not paid.  Residential renters, without a current Isle of Palms Residential Rental License may also be subject to criminal prosecution.  Failure to receive a residential rental license application does not relieve owners of the responsibility of paying the business license fee.  It is unlawful for any person or agent to act as a rental or management agent for an owner of property who does not have a current Isle of Palms Residential Rental Business License.  If you have any questions, please contact the Isle of Palms Building Department at 843-886-9912 or visit 1207 Palm Boulevard, Isle of Palms, SC 29451.

Mandatory Placard for Short-term Rentals

View the mandatory placard for short-term rentals. Please note that this is a large, pdf file (6.26MB, 1,500+ pages) which requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.  Click here to download Adobe Acrobat Reader at no charge. The file contains an individualized placard for each rental property, so select "current page" when printing to print only the page applicable to a specific property.  The City suggests that rental properties display a Porch Sign next to doors leading to patios and porches.
